The Dodger

Editorial Policies

The Dodger is a publication produced by the Dodge City High School Publications Department, and attempts to inform and entertain its audience in a broad, fair, and accurate manner on all subjects that affect the readers.  The publication seeks also to provide a forum for the opinion of the students, the staff of the paper, and the faculty to encourage an exchange of ideas on all issues of prominence to readers.

The opinions expressed throughout the publication are not necessarily those of the faculty, the administration, or USD #443.  Unsigned articles are a general consensus of the staff, while signed articles are the personal forum of the writer.  All letters, columns, stories, photos and art become legal property of the Dodger at the time they are submitted.

The Dodger reserves the right to edit comments for clarification, grammar, and style.  Comments containing profanity and/or inappropriate comments towards an individual in the story will not be approved.  Additionally, all comments within this site are the responsibility of the commenter, not the blog owner, administrator, contributor, editor, or author.  By submitting a comment on our site, you agree that the comment content is your own, and to hold this site and all subsidiaries and representatives harmless from any and all repercussions, damages, or liability.

The Dodger staff encourages letters to the editors, as they constitute avenue for reader opinion.  The editor reserves the right to edit all letters for appropriate placement as long as the meaning and intent remain unchanged.  The letter must be signed to be considered for publication.  Please note that, although all submitted letters will be considered and evaluated for publication, not all may be published on our site.  To submit a letter to the editors, email [email protected]
