The Addams family musical Feb. 13-15

Kelly Knedler, DCHS Choral Music and Musical Theatre Director

THE ADDAMS FAMILY MUSICAL is new musical based on the wacky 1960’s characters of the TV Show The Addams Family. This musical is a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family-a man her parents Gomez and Morticia have never met. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner party for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

The Dodge City High School production of THE ADDAMS FAMILY MUSICAL will be performed Thursday, Friday and Saturday, February 13-15, 2020, at 7:00pm in the DCHS Auditorium.

Ticket prices are $6.00 for General Admission on Thursday, February 13, 2020* and $8.00 for Reserved Seating on both Friday and Saturday, February 13-15, 2020. Please note that February 13 will be only General Admission and February 14-15 will be only Reserved Seating. Reserved seating tickets will be available for purchase in advance on Wednesday, February 3, 2020 through the DCHS Athletic Office. General Admission tickets are at the door only on February 13.

* Family Night on February 14th: A family of 5 or more can purchase tickets for their entire family for only $20.00 per family (no reserved tickets this evening).

Again this year, we are carrying on a tradition started 23 years ago at Dodge City High School, which coincides with the musical. The program is called “Adopt-A-Character.” This program is explained in length on the following sheet. It is a program designed to allow area individuals and businesses to help the “Fine Arts” in the U.S.D. 443 public school system. However, in this program, the “Fine Arts” can help you in return. Just follow the steps on the following page and mail your contribution to the address listed at the bottom of the “Adoption Form,” by February 7, 2020. Then, sit back and see not only the great things you’ve done for the community, but also what great things the community will do for you!
